1st PIECES OF STEEL ERECTED AT BOXMAN

The first two portals of the new Boxman container warehouse were successfully erected on March 23rd. Several cranes successfully co-ordinated the rafter lifts which complete the brace bay and east elevation gable. With an external knee height of 23m and a ridge height of 24.6m, this will be one of the tallest structures erected at Christchurch Airport. Once complete, this frame will support an internal gantry crane weighing over 80 tonnes.
