The need for more space in the Timaru Mitre10 required some innovative thinking then engineering to build a new 1675m2 garden centre and 150m2 café on the north end of the building which was an ambitious and successful endeavor.

Demolition of multiple neighbouring buildings including relocating tenants then excavation of over 10,000m3 of ground after boring 117 piles, some 12m deep, provided a flat basement surface to start construction of a garden centre that doubled in size from the previous garden centre.

Construction using mainly local trades and contractors was completed in October 2024 ready for a big labour weekend trade supplying the best gardening retail outlet South Canterbury has to offer.

Envision’s relationship with the client from previous projects completed allowed early involvement that included initial design coordination with consultants and contractors to turn the clients dreams into reality.
