The project involved the construction of the new community centre (named the Lodge) for the village which included, a reception, administration area, dining room, lounge, bar, library, gym, wellness centre, meeting rooms and indoor pool / spa areas within it.  Envision’s involvement in the project commenced following our appointment on the independent living apartment precinct in the village.  At the time of Envision’s introduction the first structural steel frames for the building was being erected.  Envision assisted the client with the management and coordination of the construction and to identify areas of potential cost savings.   A value engineering process was undertaken mid-construction that resulted in the redesign of a number of the elements of the building which did not detracting from the aesthetic of the building but provided good savings to the client.  The construction continued while design was completed for an amendment to the Building Consent.  The result is a new facility which both the village residents and the client are very proud of.
