The Envision team worked alongside CIAL to secure the delivery of a new commercial laundry for the Canterbury Linen Services (CLS) via a Lease, Design and Build tender.  After CIAL secured the lease, ahead of other developers, Envision was appointed as the Design and Project Managers for this highly serviced facility.  The main objective of the design was to ensure that CLS’s building performance specification and specialist laundry equipment was successfully integrated within the lessor’s base build.

The new 5,900m² bespoke laundry facility located within Dakota Park in the CIAL campus services and provides linen to hospitals and hotels throughout the South Island. Significant design consideration had to be undertaken as the facility is a critical service provider and as a result is designated as an IL3 building.  The new facility includes a new wood chip bunker and boiler, laundry processing area, office and amenities and external yard space including loading docks. This has been another successful project where Envision provided Project Management and Design Management services to CIAL.
