Envision Eighty20 has been engaged by Christchurch Airport as the Client’s Design & Project Manager for the extension of the EBOS warehouse facility. The 2,845m² warehouse will be connected to the existing 4000m² distribution centre at Dakota Park.

The facility distributes pharmaceuticals to chemists and district health facilities across the South Island. As the majority of the product being stored is temperature sensitive, the entirety of the warehouse is to be cooled to ensure the maximum temperature of 25°C isn’t exceeded.

As part of the works, Envision and the Design Team have been requested to manage elements of the Tenant’s fit-out which includes 11m high chiller units and freezers.

The current facility will also remain active during construction and therefore will require a co-ordinated approach by the team to identify design solutions which will mitigate disruption to the Tenant’s operations.
